Video Description
CALS hosted the Tompkins County Perennial Grass Bioenergy Field Day at Cornell on September 9, 2009. The event highlighted the CALS Bioenergy Feedstock Project, which conducts research on the management and production of perennial grasses in New York, as well as extensive work with the Cornell Cooperative Extension to disseminate information on bioenergy. This project is part of a multi-disciplinary renewable energy research effort supported by Cornell University, the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, the Cornell University Agricultural Experiment Station, the New York Farm Viability Institute (NYFVI), the Northern New York Agricultural Development Program (NNYADP), and other public and private institutions.
