Tompkins Energy Conservation Corps seeks applicants for fall internship
August 13, 2009
Passionate about solving climate change?
Want to help local
communities build a clean and just energy future?
The Tompkins Energy Conservation Corps is seeking students with work-study to apply for the fall semester. Launched this summer as a pilot program, the Corps' mission is to dramatically expand residential energy efficiency, strengthening local self-sufficiency, and reducing carbon emissions - with an innovative approach for social marketing of home energy retrofits. Corps members will conduct energy assessments on the homes of formal and informal leaders. If successful, this initiative may prepare to replicate the initiative in communities across Central New York.
